Abstract:
We shall discuss one of the main problems in Computer Vision: how to reconstruct a three-dimensional shape starting from an apparent contour, namely from a suitable graph with cusps and transversal crossings, lying on a projection plane. We shall discuss some related topological problems and, if possible, the role of the program Appcontour.
