Mathematics

 I will report on an ongoing project about boundary value problems for Dirac operators. The main goal of the project is to prove the extension, to the so-called “higher index” setting, of a fundamental formula which computes the index in terms of objects which live on the boundary of the manifold. Most of the talk will be dedicated to recalling the aspects of the classical theory that we are generalizing.
