We will define cohomology groups for a sheaf of modules on a scheme and present their first properties. We will use the formalism of derived functors, and show that the cohomology of quasi coherent sheaf on a noetherian affine scheme vanishes in any positive degree. This lecture is thought for beginners, so it will be (almost completely) self-contained.
