Abstract:
Matrix factorizations were introduced by Eisenbud in connection with
maximal Cohen-Macauley modules on hypersurface singularities. I this talk I will
discuss categories of matrix factorizations and an analog of the
Hirzebruch-Riemann-Roch formula in this context.
