Abstract:
Quasistatic evolutions are interpreted as limit of solutions to dynamic problems when the external loading is so slow that at every time the system is at equilibrium. Here we state a general result for this convergence with standard hypoteses and a counterexample when they do not hold. Moreover we set the model for a debonding one-dimensional process in which convergence to quasistatic evolutions may fail.
