Transport dominated fluid structure interaction problems present multiple challenges, one of them being the slow decay of the Kolmogorov n-width of the solution manifold: this results in a poor  efficiency of the reduced basis (RB) method. In this talk I will  introduce the RB method, and I will present an idea to reduce the Kolmogorov n-width of my test case problem. Some early results will be shown.
